Enjoying Bajthala

As a minimum ideal for staying in Bajthala, we propose a 3 days 2 nights program. If you do so, you will get a nice glimpse of this area.

  • Enjoy lunch at Jampaling Tibetan Refugee Camp.
  • While crossing the Seti River, you can see the bizarre rock formations known as the “Garden of Rocks”.
  • Spend a journey hiking through subtropical jungle, terraced crops, and Gurung, Magar, Chhetri and Newar traditional villages. On the porch of a house farm, you can share tea or “mui” with the locals.
  • You will have a privileged view of the Himalayas from your room’s balcony.
  • The small temple of Dhor Barahi Mandir attracts many people to worship the Barahi Goddess.

Hiking around Bajthala

But you can stay and enjoy as many days as you want. There are plenty of things to do here.

  • You can do the rarely hiked Millennium Trek on a circular route of 5 days in a “homestay”
  • It is not necessary to do the full trek either. You can hike to the Millennium Cave and return in two or three days, for example
  • You can walk in a couple of days to Pokhara
  • Also, in a couple of days cross to Shyanja and travel by road to Pokhara
  • You can go down to the feeding vulture point and observe them
  • If you can’t walk, we can organize Jeep routes around the area
  • If you are MTB fans, you have many kilometers of mountain tracks
  • Routes can be made to observe the birds, fauna and flora of the environment. If you are very, very lucky, you may see one of the leopards that roam here.
  • It is an ideal place to meditate and do yoga away from everything
  • …or just do nothing

So, we invite you to explore this beautiful place, ideal to include it in any travel plan for Nepal.
